Terra Supreme Battery ("Manufacturer") manufactures the BCI Group 31 lead acid battery ("Battery") for use in:

  • Commercial trucking
  • Cell tower backups
  • Marine applications
  • Remote outposts
  • Solar collection
  • Wind turbine collection
  • Various other commercial applications

We are committed to providing high-quality batteries and ensuring customer satisfaction.

Limited Warranty

Manufacturer warrants that the Battery is and will be free of defects in material and workmanship under normal use and service for a period beginning on the date of purchase through the earlier of: (1) Battery reaching usable amp-hours, or (2) 5 years from purchase date.
Important Deadlines:
All warranty claims must be filed within 45 days of the battery's failure. Replacement batteries carry the remainder of the original warranty period.

Before initiating a claim, please review the warranty terms and conditions below to determine if your battery failure is excluded from coverage.

Warranty Exclusions

This Limited Warranty does NOT cover batteries that are merely discharged or damaged due to:

  • Normal end of life due to use of all available amp-hours
  • Abuse, physical damage, neglect, or if top decorative cover has been removed
  • Mishandling - including using terminals for lifting or carrying
  • Misuse - use requiring higher cranking power or reserve rating than designed
  • Oversized applications - requiring higher capacity than battery's specified rating
  • Non-standard applications - normal or accelerated deterioration from unintended use
  • Natural elements - wind, lightning, hail exposure
  • Catastrophic damage - fire, collision, explosion, vandalism, theft, case penetration
  • Charging errors - overcharging, undercharging, reverse polarity installation
  • Improper maintenance - improperly torqued connections or unsecured hold-downs
  • Prolonged storage damage - vehicles in transit/storage >14 days with active electrical systems
  • Incorrect charging equipment - chargers without regulated 13.5V-13.8V float charge voltage
  • Incorrect alternators - alternators outside 14.0V-14.7V regulated charge range
  • Over-discharge - battery with open circuit voltage ≤10.5V
  • Vehicle electrical issues - failures caused by vehicle electrical system problems
  • Chemical damage - oil, solvents, alcohol, detergents, acids, alkalis, ammonia exposure
  • Terminal short-circuiting - direct shorts between battery terminals
  • Thermal damage - heat damage to case or terminals
  • eBM system failures - battery monitoring system issues (see below)
  • Electrolyte loss - from Pressure Relief Valve (PRV) opening
⚠️ Important - eBM System Exclusion:
Failures related to the eBM (electronic Battery Monitoring) system are excluded from warranty coverage. Please ensure your charger and alternator are compatible with your battery system.

Warranty Resolution Options

If Manufacturer determines that your defective battery is covered by this Limited Warranty, Manufacturer will, at its sole option:

Option 1 Send a replacement battery for your defective unit
Option 2 Credit your account for the purchase price paid
Option 3 Refund the purchase price of the defective battery
Replacement Batteries: If the original battery model is no longer available, Manufacturer reserves the right to replace it with a comparable replacement battery of equivalent or superior specifications.

Warranty Claims Process

For Retail/Wholesale Purchases:

  1. Return the battery to your original retailer, wholesaler, or dealer
  2. Include your original purchase receipt
  3. Your retailer will work with the Manufacturer to determine warranty eligibility
  4. Manufacturer will process your claim and provide resolution

For Direct Purchases from Manufacturer:

  • Proof of purchase (receipt or invoice)
  • Battery serial number and model
  • Date of purchase
  • Description of the issue
  • Photos of damage (if applicable)

Critical Electrical Requirements

To maintain warranty coverage, ensure your charging system meets these specifications:

⚡ Charger Requirements Regulated float charge voltage: 13.5V - 13.8V (exact range required)
⚡ Alternator Requirements Regulated charge voltage: 14.0V - 14.7V (exact range required)
Voltage Compliance Critical: Using chargers or alternators outside these voltage ranges is an excluded warranty condition. Improper voltage can damage your battery and void coverage.
